ABOUT THE ROLE...

The Project Administrator has the overall responsibility and accountability to assist with project management duties. They will oversee administrative functions relating to products, projects, HR and any administrative tasks for the overall Engineering department.  

 

This role is a part time position of approximately 24 hours per week. Work days/times to be discussed during interview. 

 

The Project Administrator will be responsible for;

  • Coordinating administrative functions for a project team such as schedules, appointments, meeting and presentation materials.
  • Handling confidential material relevant to company/project/program operations.
  • Monitoring and processing time and expense reports, project task sheets, invoices, and other project team deliverables.
  • Applying expertise in standard project management software tools to maintain current data in systems, generate necessary reports, and track expenses to the project budget.
  • Performing administrative functions related to entering information into databases, producing statistical reports, and developing presentations.
  • Understanding, supporting and communicating project goals, timelines, and critical success factors.
  • Providing basic orientation to new project team members.
  • Arranging and coordinating routine business travel and/or other travel-related arrangements as needed.

 

ABOUT YOU...

The ability to effectively plan / prioritise tasks and work with minimal supervision. You are highly motivated, possessing a positive / pro-active approach toward teamwork and a willingness to learn. Suitably qualified candidates with the following skills and experience should apply:

  • At least 2 years experience in an Office or Project Administration role 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent planning, prioritising and organisation skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • High levels of computer literacy e.g. Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Ability to forge strong alliances with other team members
  • Business Administration Certificate or related qualification (desirable, not essential)
